A product database on which to work: the cards provided by Sentric combine identifiers, texts, images, variants and features available. The MCP server connects the assistant to accessible data in your environment, so you can recover them in the conversation and use them in your workflows.

The nomenclature follows Get validated product v2 of API reference: type vale BARCODE, SKU or HANDLE; BARCODE is a string, while SKU and HANDLE contain value and sentricBrandId. languages is an array of language codes. For HANDLE, allVariants must be true. The current MCP accepts a language per request and adds pageToGet and pageSize for readings. Search by name is not supported.

MCP is the protocol with which an assistant can use the tools Sentric; API REST remain the reference for parameters and operations of the service. Equality depends on the tools exposed and the permissions granted. The version MCP Current reads the linked store cards: operations API new supply, translation or digitization are not yet displayed through MCP.

With delivery service parts from BARCODE, SKU or HANDLE; for SKU and HANDLE it also serves sentricBrandId. Sentric searches for the information available in the database and initiates live and multisource validation: compare versions, complete data and resolve conflicts before delivery. Content and coverage depend on the product; customizations follow the enabled options.

The request for new tabs from the database today passes from the supply service Sentric, via site or API. The MCP preview recovers the cards present in the connected store environment: it does not start a new supply or a new validation. The available perimeter is confirmed during the qualification.

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that allows AI assistants to connect to data sources and tools. With Sentric, it is the link between your assistant and product information accessible in your environment.

The server is designed for clients that support MCP remote, such as ChatGPT and Claude. The connection requires an enabled Sentric environment and the connector configuration. The available options depend on the client, plan and permissions of your workspace.

The tools available in this version are read-only: they search for products and consult the information. They do not change cards, no matter products and do not start purchases or digitizations.

The assistant reads the values stored in the catalog of your store at the time of request. Their topicality depends on updating the catalogue: it is not a verification of the live stock of suppliers. An unavailable value remains unknown; the currency is not deducted.

Yes, you need an account Sentric with a store and an environment enabled to connect. Access OAuth provides for explicit permission to read. For technical testing, access with API key is also available, if enabled in the environment: credentials should be inserted in the client settings, never in the prompts.
